Student Amenity Space, Tuffnell Park London

Our brief was to upgrade and refurbish the amenity spaces at a student accommodation site in Tufnell Park. The upstairs study area was designed to feel light, fresh, and conducive to focus.   The nature inspired flooring along with the planters gave the space texture and brought the outside in, creating a calm vibe.

In contrast, downstairs was an area to relax and unwind, so was designed to be more vibrant and quirky. Although open-plan, the space serves multiple functions, so we used a mix of flooring materials and wall colours to define and zone each area. An acoustic curtain can also be drawn around the soft seating area to create a cosy, enclosed space for film nights.
