Since 2014 we’ve been working with SACO and a team of Dutch architects on the conversion of the Wittenberg building, in Amsterdam’s canal district, to 115 luxury apartments.
Joseph King Interiors has provided a full interior design service including the specification of all the furniture and accessories for the apartments. The design style combines classic English with contemporary Dutch creating high quality, comfortable living spaces. We have updated the iconic Chesterfield sofa with a vibrant orange velvet and teamed it with Dutch pieces made from local woods. In partnership with procurement consultants Benjamin West and an installation team from HHL, the show apartment is now complete and the mammoth fit out operation begins in September. The building is typically Dutch with tall, narrow stairways and the furniture has had to be designed to be made in sections in order to get it into the far reaches of the building. It is a challenging but exciting project and we are delighted to be involved.
